A quick tour of Communicator Next
Find your way around the desktop and web app.
Communicator Next has a navigation bar down the left side, a list in the middle and the open item on the right.
| Area | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Dialer | Type a number or name to call, and pick the number you call from |
| Chat | Direct and group conversations, files, threads and pinned messages |
| Calls / History | Recent calls on all your devices |
| Voicemail | Your messages, with playback and download |
| Meetings | Join, start, schedule and list meetings |
| Contacts | Company phonebook, favorites and shared contacts |
| SMS / Fax | Text messages and faxes, if your account has them |
| Settings (gear icon) | Audio, video, notifications, appearance, language and account |
Your profile and status
Your picture at the top shows your status. Click it to change status, set a status message or open your account options.
Editions
Your view depends on the edition your administrator or service provider assigned: Office, Business, Agent (for contact centre queues) or Supervisor (for team leads). If you can't find something in this wiki, it may not be part of your edition.
