Calls don't ring on my phone

Get reliable incoming calls on Communicator Go.

GoUpdated October 2026

Communicator Go uses push notifications to wake up when a call arrives. Most missed-call problems come from notifications or battery settings.

All phones

  • Check you're signed in and your status isn't Do not disturb.
  • Allow notifications for Communicator Go in your phone's settings.
  • Turn off the phone's own Focus or Do not disturb mode, or allow Communicator Go through it.
  • Check your call forwarding rules aren't sending calls elsewhere. See Forward calls when you're busy or away.

iPhone

  • Don't swipe the app away all the time. iOS can still deliver calls, but leaving it in the background is more reliable.
  • Check Settings > Communicator Go and make sure notifications and background app refresh are on.

Android

  1. Open your phone's Settings > Apps > Communicator GO > Battery.
  2. Set battery usage to Unrestricted (or turn off battery optimisation).
  3. On some brands, also allow the app to auto-start and to show on the lock screen.
Tip

Test by calling your extension from a colleague's phone with your phone locked.
