Send and receive SMS
Text customers from your business number.
SMS works only if your administrator or service provider has given you an SMS-enabled number. If you have several, you can text from each one.
- Open SMS (in Communicator Go it may be inside Chat).
- Choose the new message button.
- Pick which of your numbers to send from, if you have more than one.
- Enter the recipient's mobile number in full international format, type your message and send.
- You can also text a number straight from your call history or a contact.
- Communicator Next supports picture messages (MMS) where your number allows it.
- Replies arrive in the same conversation on every device.
Important
Many countries regulate business texting. Only text people who have agreed to hear from you, and include opt-out wording if your company requires it.
